Kitchen Cabinet Knobs
I’ve been slowly making over my kitchen. I painted my boring light oak
cabinets when we first moved in about 6 years ago. While I like the clean look of my white cabinets I'm having a hard time keeping the doors and drawers that are used the most free of scratches.

Out with the brass!
I hate brass! I’ve slowly been painting all the door knobs in my house with oil rubbed bronze spray paint. I won’t take the time to post a tutorial because they’re all over pinterest but I will show you some before and after pictures.

The Polar Express!
So I saw these cute printables online for the golden ticket that’s in the Polar Express movie. She used them as tickets to go see Christmas lights. What a great idea to make the tradition of looking at lights more memorable.
We bought the movie, The Polar Express and watched it the night before.

Then I printed and laminated the Christmas Express tickets. I also made hot chocolate like in the movie

Elf on a Shelf ~ Magic Door
We’ve been having fun with our Elf on a Shelf this year. Our elf is named Jingles. This year I added a skirt and Belle, his sister, came to visit a few times as well. I won’t bore you with their antics as there are ideas all over Pinterest and I’ve been “borrowing” from most of them. You can check out my Elf on a Shelf Pinterest board to see them.

Real Homemade Fudge ~ YUMMY!
I’ve been working on my holiday baking these last few days. I LOVE real fudge made with a candy thermometer but I’ve always struggled with it. I finally decided I was going to figure it out. Turns out if you take your time and actually follow the directions ~ word for word ~ it’s awesome! So excited.

Santa Shirt Tutorial

This is from a guest post I did with Sugar Bee Crafts last week.
For about three years now I have made shirts for my kids for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even a few Halloween and Easter. Christmas is my favorite. Our subdivision always hires a Santa and a horse drawn sleigh to drive the kids around the neighborhood. I love getting a photo for our Christmas Cards at the same time.
Before I get to the Santa shirt tutorial here are a couple from the last couple of years.
