The Polar Express!

So I saw these cute printables online for the golden ticket that’s in the Polar Express movie.  She used them as tickets to go see Christmas lights.  What a great idea to make the tradition of looking at lights more memorable.

We bought the movie, The Polar Express and watched it the night before.

Then I printed and laminated the Christmas Express tickets.  I also made hot chocolate like in the movie

I wrote a note on back telling them to get in their jammies and meet us at the car.  Before they got in I punched their tickets with a christmas tree punch.

Then we drove to a nearby park where they go all out on the lights.  You tune your radio to a certain station and look at lights that are timed to the music.  You can also take a horse drawn carriage ride through the park.

I’m planning to save the tickets and give them a new punch each year.  It made a regular trip to look at light into such a fun adventure.

Here's a link to the movie on Amazon.
